AI Prompt/Context Engineer

Job#: 11-107: AI Prompt/Context Engineer
AI Prompt/Context Engineer – Addewa AI and TFG Technologies
We’re a people-first innovation company using AI to make technology more human — and work more meaningful. Our teams design automation frameworks that help developers, analysts, and mission-driven organizations work faster and smarter with large language models (LLMs). We believe AI should amplify people’s abilities, not replace them — and this role sits right at that intersection.
Role:
We’re looking for an AI Prompt & Context Engineer who loves figuring out how large language models actually think. You’ll build the systems and workflows that make AI useful in real projects: turning messy ideas, documents, and code into structured, reliable outputs that help teams deliver faster. You won’t just write prompts — you’ll design the logic and context that guide how models reason, automate, and collaborate with humans. It’s part R&D, part engineering, part creative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype multi-step AI workflows that connect LLM reasoning with real-world development and automation tasks — using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent orchestration tools.
- Configure and extend no-code and low-code agentic environments, including GitHub Copilot workflows, custom GPTs, and Azure/AWS/Google AI Studio automation flows, to support repeatable task execution without traditional coding.
- Develop prompt, context, and retrieval strategies that yield consistent, auditable outputs suitable for reuse and integration into production systems.
- Integrate cloud-hosted and open-source models (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Llama, Mistral, Phi, etc.) into secure and scalable workflows.
- Build Python-based automations and lightweight APIs that connect LLM workflows with developer tools, data sources, or enterprise systems when scripting is required.
- Evaluate and refine workflow performance through analysis of model accuracy, consistency, and operational cost, applying best practices for context management and orchestration.
- Collaborate with software, DevOps, and business automation teams to deploy AI-enabled services through CI/CD pipelines and ensure traceability and compliance.
- Document reusable patterns, workflow templates, and configuration guides to standardize AI orchestration across teams.
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of professional experience in Python development, ideally with exposure to automation, data engineering, or applied AI workflows.
- Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs) — how to structure prompts, manage context, and orchestrate multi-step reasoning pipelines for consistent, production-ready results.
- Experience implementing AI-assisted or data-driven solutions, such as:
o automating data ingestion or document processing,
o building text-generation or summarization tools, or
o Integrating model outputs into analytics or workflow systems.
- Hands-on experience with at least one LLM orchestration framework (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or custom Python orchestration logic).
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) concepts, vector databases, and content-indexing pipelines.
- Experience integrating cloud AI platforms (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI) and managing authentication, API limits, and performance.
- Comfortable using GitHub Copilot, GitHub Actions, and M365 Copilot to enhance development and documentation workflows.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals — version control, modular design, testing, and CI/CD integration for AI-driven components.
- Excellent documentation habits and communication skills for explaining context architectures and workflow logic to technical peers.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Data Science (master's preferred but not required).
- Demonstrated experience building data pipelines, model orchestration systems, or intelligent automation services in a cloud environment.
- Curiosity about emerging frameworks for no-code and low-code AI automation.
- Prior work in federal, enterprise, or regulated environments a plus.
Why Join Us?
- Join a team with deep federal expertise and a demo-first mindset — where ideas turn into working prototypes fast.
- Work with cutting-edge AI and automation platforms across Microsoft, AWS, and open-model ecosystems — including exclusive access to emerging no-code tools.
- Help agencies modernize operations, automate compliance, and deliver measurable mission outcomes through applied AI.
- Be part of a people-first organization that values growth, curiosity, and human decision-making over automation for its own sake.
- Learn, experiment, and build at the frontier of AI-assisted engineering — surrounded by mentors who share knowledge and celebrate creativity.
